Microscopic debris from tattoo ink can migrate into the body and land up in lymph nodes, important hubs of the human immune gadget, a study revealed Tuesday.
The tiny particles – measuring some millionths to a few billionths of a centimeter – consist of molecules from preservatives and contaminants including nickel, chromium, manganese and cobalt, researchers stated in the peer-reviewed journal Scientific Reports.
